Whether you are prompted for a next service or wof date is controlled by multiple parameters and settings.

If the Update service and or Update WOF is ticked on the service code you will be prompted to enter a new Next Date when invoicing the vehicle (If this was the service code selected)

There are 2 additional parameters - you can set these to Y and then no matter what service code you select the current Next WOF and/or Service Date will be displayed.
When that is displayed you have the option of updating it., or simply click OK to continue and leave the values as they were.


You also have the option of setting these to B

This means the boxes will be presented as Blank - and you are forced to enter a future date.



In the rare case where the next service is in the past or the WOF has expired already, you WON't be able to enter a date in the past. You must enter a future date, then go and correct it on the CRM vehicle record.  This was developed this way to try and stop people entering the previous/current year mistakenly.
