Introduction

In certain cases, specific options such as colours, trims, or factory fitted options may not be available for a vehicle in VSB under the Specification tab. This KB outlines how to manually add these options, using Franchise data in the Build Specification section.

Example

As you can see, there are no colour options available for this vehicle in VSB.

Steps to Add Options

  1. Accessing Franchise Data
    •  Navigate to Franchise data > Build specification.

    • Change the date in "Showing data based on date" to today's date.

    • Find the relevant franchise, model, and variant of the vehicle.

  2. Selecting Option Type

    • Use the top-right dropdown to select the Option type.

    • Choose 'Optional (blue)' from the Availability dropdown.

  3. Editing the Option

    • Click 'Edit' to enter edit mode for the specifications.

  4. Adding Available Options
    • Identify the specific colour that needs to be added.
    • Locate the grey colour box next to the option and click to tick it. This action will change the box to white with a blue tick inside.

    • After making required changes, click on Save button.

    • This action marks the option as available for selection in VSB record.

    • If a specific option code is not available for the selected option type, it can be added in the same manner.

Converting Standard Options:

In some instances, options may already be marked with a black tick, indicating they are standard. To make them optional:

  • Repeat steps 1-4 for options with a black tick, replacing it with a blue tick to signify optional availability.

Conclusion:

By following these steps, users can effectively manage and update vehicle options in VSB, including factory-fitted options, colours, and trims, ensuring accurate specifications are available for selection.
