When a user has permission to access the Vehicle Stockbook (VSB) module but encounters an "Access Denied" error message when attempting to open the Vehicle Administration menu, it indicates a permissions issue. This Knowledge Base article provides steps to resolve the issue by copying permissions from an existing user using the System Maintenance menu.

  1. Navigate to the "System maintenance" menu in "Vehicle stockbooks" module .

  2. Select "Stockbook permissions" from the options available.

  3. Click on ellipses next to "User ID"

  4. Select a user's name to view their permissions settings.

  5. Locate the "Copy" from "Insert" option within the menu.

  6. Enter the user ID whom you want to grant access to the Vehicle Administration menu.

  7. Save the changes.

  8. You can also do this by just go to Insert>New and enter the user ID whom you want to grant access to the Vehicle Administration menu, give necessary permissions and save the record but copy from an existing user is quicker.

  9. Instruct the affected user to log out of the system and log back in to apply the updated permissions.

  10. After logging in again, the user should attempt to access the Vehicle Administration menu to verify that the issue has been resolved.

  11. If the problem persists, repeat the steps above or contact Systime for further assistance.
