There are occasions when the Causal Code needs to be updated.
If the claim is in Awaiting Dealer Correction, the causal code can be changed by clicking Options > Maintain Causal Details
Select part or labour
If it's a part, select the correct part
If it's labour, select the correct labour code
Click Exit then save claim.
There are occasions when a claim is sent to the factory and it is returned with a different cause code (Sprogress = 20 or 21). This will cause problems importing the credit file. When this is the case, the cause code on the claim can be updated using the D21 – Update cause code report.
