In order to retrieve the appropriate information, create a new record and enter the Franchise, Model and Variant. The NZTA icon will highlight (Figure 1) enabling you to access the search facility – Figure 2. You can now search NZTA using either registration number or VIN number. The same criteria apply as described under Showroom above i.e. there are various levels of information that can be retrieved for which there are differing charges.

If you select “Vehicle View” in Figure 3, you will be able to view information retrieved from NZTA which is displayed on various tabs. If you want to update the vehicle record with the information retrieved from NZTA, select “Update Item Data” on Figure 3.

The system now displays (Figure 5) the information that is going to be updated from NZTA. Items displayed in green can be modified clicking on the line and then selecting an appropriate item from the drop down menu (Figure 6). Items that will be updated on the Autoline record being created have a “Tick” in the last column. In Figure 6 the Variant needs to be selected as the Tick is not populated. Once the appropriate variant has been selected the “Update” button would highlight. If you do not want to updated the information for a specific field then “Untick” the appropriate line. If you want the retrieved information to update the Autoline record that you are creating select the Update button

The record being created will be updated with the information retrieved from NZTA. The VIN is held on the first line of the features field Figure 7. This needs to be Cut and pasted into the VIN number field – Figure 8. This will enable the creation/linking to an approriate marketing record.
