VSB/POS Integration- what is a spec line?
Vehicle specification lines (‘spec lines’) are used to add accessories and additional costs to a vehicle
Accessory speclines can be added to a vehicle via a vehicle deal (in Showroom) and in Vehicle stockbooks (VSB)- these relate to items from the Sale agreement
Non-recoverable speclines are added via Vehicle stockbooks- costs that a purchaser are unaware of such as PDI etc
The spec line must have “W” as the source line, then in order for the cost to be received against the vehicle, the line need to be pushed to POS and invoiced so the cost can update on the vehicle record. “O” source lines are for work to be completed by a third party.
