Within the Point-of-Sale screen, Users can access the 'Reports' drop-down from the top of the session to select from up to five pre-defined reports.

When accessing the Parts or Service Point-of-Sale Screen, Users can access up to five pre-defined reports. These reports can be set within the System Parameters, to determine which Reports are shown for quick and easy access to commonly used Point-of-Sale Reports.

(Note: If no Reports are defined at either a Global or User Level, then the Reports option will not be shown at the top of the Point-of-Sale screen)

These defined Reports can be set at a Global Level, so that all Users would receive the same list of five Reports, or they can be defined at a User Level which is specific to each User (and will override the Global Level).

To set these defined Reports at a Global Level, navigate to Point-of-Sale -> System Maintenance -> System Parameters and then select the SO/DISP buttons tab. Within here, you can specify up to five reports under the SO/DISP Buttons section, as per the image below.

To populate these, you must enter the three digit code that matches the report you want to link, within the left-most box. Within the right-most box, you can manually write a description for the report of your own choosing. Once populated, select the Save button.

(Note: If the three digit code does not match a pre-existing Report, then no link can be made and the option will return an error message to advise of this when selected within Point-of-Sale.)

If the User accessing Point-of-Sale does not have any Reports assigned on a User Level, they will receive the Reports specified on the Global Level as the Default Reports. The result can be seen per the first image above.

To set these defined Reports at a User Level, the User will require a Terminal Setup. If the User has a Terminal Setup, navigate to Point-of-Sale -> Miscellaneous Options -> Terminal Details and enter the relevant Terminal Number.

Amend the Terminal Record and access the User Defined Buttons tab. Within this tab, you can specify up to five reports under the Point-of-Sale section. This follows the same structure and setup as the Global Level. If Reports are also defined at a Global Level, the Reports set at the User Level will override these for the specific User when accessing Point-of-Sale.

(Note: If the User does not have a Terminal Number setup, one will need to be created for them or copied from another Terminal Number that is setup. Refer to our Knowledge Base Article for a Terminal Setup here for this process: Create a New Point-of-Sale Terminal).
