This shows how discount maps and tables are used to determine which price to use when loading a part number in POS.

In the screenshot below, the selling price of the part number is 17.76 when it was loaded on a WIP.

To check why it picked up this value, note the Parts Discount code & Product Group of the part in the Part Details screen.  In this case, Parts discount code is 01. Product Group is A.

Note the Discount Type & Discount Category (aka Discount Transaction Code) in the WIP header

Go to Stock Management > Miscellaneous Options > Product Group and note the Discount group (POS) of the Product Group. In this case it is A.

Go to POS>Miscellaneous Options >Discount Map, enter the Discount Group. Find the value where the Customer Discount Type and Discount Transaction Code intersect. In this case, the value is 1.  This is the table number.

Go to POS>Miscellaneous Options >Discount Table.  Enter the Discount Group (A) and table number (1).  This will show all the discount codes available for this discount group and the corresponding price code and discount/mark-up percentage to use.  In this example, the discount code of the part is 01.  Discount code 01 uses Price Code 1 and discount percentage of 0.

Refer to the Stock card, Price <1> of this part is 17.76.  There is no discount or mark-up so the selling price in the WIP was 17.76.
