You can add notes for work to a WIP and save it to be prompted in the future

When working on a customers vehicle you will often find additional work.Often this is quoted on and if the customer doesn't want to do the work, is then forgotten about and potentially picked up and quoted on again when the vehicle is next in the workshop. This upsell is a good opportunity for additional revenue and can often be overlooked if it is not saved on the system.

You can save notes on a customers WIP and have this prompt on screen at the next booking or you can actively report on this work for follow up in the future.

Create the text note on the WIP with the text for the work that has been noted.

Right click on the completed line and select N:Notice

You will be prompted for a date.

If you are not going to use a report to actively search for the reminders then the date will not matter. If you do want to use a report based on a date to find the follow up work, then enter the appropriate date. Note: A report may be needed to be created to suit your requirements.

Regardless of the date entered, if you are making a booking for the vehicle then the reminder will come up on screen.

click on ok once a date is entered and the line status will change to N. This will not stop the WIP from closing with the line at this status.

When a booking is next created for the vehicle (Either from proactively finding the work in the reminders file or from a customer making the booking), then you will be prompted on screen with the text line.

You have three options for the reminder in the Load Mode drop down box:

1 - Load - This will load the line on to the WIP and update the reminder file that it has been loaded. You will not be prompted for this work again.

2 - Ignore - This will ignore the reminder. When next booking the vehicle in, you will get the same reminder again.

3 - Delete - This will delete the reminder from the file. You will not be prompted for this work again.

Select the action you want to carry out and click OK.

If you click Cancel, a warning will display on screen. Click the button as required.

The reminder will also show in the customer case file that is displayed on screen when searching for  the customer and vehicle.
