When a vehicle gets reserved by an enquiry or order in the showroom, depending on parameters, system reserves the vehicle in the vehicle stockbooks. How to unreserve it from VSB?
Please note that when a vehicle gets reserved from showroom, it is not only the Progress code which gets updated such as:
But also some other fields on the sales brief page which are not editable directly from within the VSB. Reservation details (on Sales Brief) not editable from Vehicle Admin:
If you'll only change the vehicle progress code from "R" to "A" that will leave the reservation details on sales brief as it is and when someone will try to access that vehicle from the showroom they will get a message that "This vehicle has been allocated - cannot produce quote". This is because user thought that they will just amend the vehicle progress to Available and that will clear the reservation, no it doesn't.
Correct way to overcome this situation is that, change the vehicle progress code back to "R", save the vehicle record. Then you have two options i) either mark the showroom enquiry as lost sale or use Vehicle Finder (Unrserve) function to unreserve the vehicle:
Enter your VSB unreserve password which is different from Autoline login password:
You can find you VSB reserve password in System Utilities>Management Menu>User details on Vehicle tab
This vehicle now be unreserved and available to be selected for another enquiry from the showroom:
