Steps
Navigate to Franchise Data > Build Specification.
In Maintain Build Specifications:
Set Option type → N (Non-recoverable costs).
Set Availability → blank (Remove Tick).
Expand the tree on the left to locate the correct level where the option is defined.
Understanding Option Levels
There are 4 levels in the hierarchy:
Global level
If an option is created at Global, it is controlled here.
It will show at Franchise, Model, and Variant levels but will be greyed out and cannot be edited there.
Franchise level
If an option is created at Franchise, it is controlled here.
It will show at Model and Variant levels but will be greyed out and cannot be edited there.
Model level
If an option is created at Model, it is controlled here.
It will show at Variant level but will be greyed out and cannot be edited there.
Variant level
If an option is created at Variant, it is controlled here only.
Editing the Option
Switch the screen to Edit Mode.
Highlight the level where the option is defined.
Locate the option in the list.
Click the blue tick to change it to grey.
Press Save.
Result
The option will no longer be available for newly created VSB records.
To ensure the option does not appear in any franchise, model, or variant, disable it at every level where it is defined.
