Easy way to save your excel file as semi colon delimited.
In Excel
File / Options / Advanced
Replace the default Decimal separator with a comma (defaults to a fullstop)
Now when you choose save as csv it should use semi colon not comma.
Sample File attached.
Another alternative is changing your regional settings in Windows.
Generic File Transfer Setup (For importing the file)
Manufacturer Systems / ZZ / General Utilities / System Maintenance / Generic file transfers
Open the ZZ_MENU_PRICING record.
Update the Remote Filename & Autoline Filename with your csv file name (Don't leave Autoline Filename Blank)
If you leave this blank and have a Post transfer Autoline action it will try backing up the entire xfer directory.
You can use whichever filename you like in Autoline filename - or leave it blank
Remote Path is the location on your PC to upload it from.
DO NOT put a trailing slash \ on the Remote Path value (eg Not C:\Rev8work\)
Importing the data file
Manufacturer Systems / ZZ / Menu Pricing Administrator / Data Import
Tick the Import column
Click Next to import and convert the file.
Service Model
The first column in the csv file is the Model Code
This maps to the CRM Vehicle Service Model
When you load the vehicle in POS and select MS ZZ / Menus (or * then enter) - if this has an exact match you will only be shown (by default) the menus for this model
You can click advanced search to see all service menus (not just this model)
Clearing all the imported data
Within the shopping basket Administrator - Tools Menu
Untick the box
Then tick the box Start again....
Then retick the Once you are satisfied box
Accidentally Imported Parts as Fluids
Need to be manually deleted from the sbflu.XX (XX = company number) table
MS.DFL Repgen can be run to delete all those that aren't mapped.
If you had not completed mapping the proper ones they will also be deleted, so you should reimport the latest sheet after running this.
