Terminal Setup
Manufacturer Systems / Microcat / Microcat Administrator
(If you haven't used Microcat before you may need permissions added for this Module / MS company)
Click Add
Click the computer screen icons to automatically insert your PC terminal number
IP address - can be left blank
This is only required to be entered if you use NAT - Network address translation - when connecting to the Autoline server. (See explanation below)
Franchise Mapping Setup
Select the Autoline Franchise Code that maps to the Microcat Franchise Code.
Network address translation
Example your PC IP is 192.168.0.140 - but when connecting to the Autoline server this is translated to 192.168.51.140
If you aren't sure then an Autoline consultant can check from the KCML Web Administrator / Processes Tab while you are logged in.
If you are using NAT then you ideally would need a static IP on your PC, otherwise when your computer IP changes you would need to update the Microcat Terminal record.
Finding your PC IP address
Right click the Windows button
Select Run
Type
cmd
Enter
