1. Overview

The following document has been developed to explain the setup and use of the Autoline End of Period Scheduler program. 



2. Definition

The introduction of the End of Period Scheduler will allow Autoline users to schedule the closing of the periods for each Module in Timed Operations, eliminating the need to manually close the periods outside of operational hours.


3. Filter Selections


The option is in Nominal Ledger > Period End Options > End of Period Scheduler



When a User enters the End of Period Scheduler Screen it will automatically display all “Active” operations in the “Schedule” grid.  


This selection can be altered by changing the Filter Settings as follows;


    Active Only;        Untick the box to show ALL available Schedule Operations

Tick the box to show “Active Only” Operations


    Module;        Leave Blank to show ALL available Modules

Click the drop down to choose a specific Module


    Company;        Leave Blank to show ALL available Companies

Click the drop down to choose a specific Company




4. Schedule Grid

The Schedule Grid will display the following fields;


    Module;        Displays the Module that will be “Carried forward”


    Company;        Displays the Company for that Module


    Last Run;        Displays the Date the Operation was Last Run


    Current Period;    Displays the Current Period for that Module/Company


    Next Run;        Displays the Date the Operation is next scheduled


    Adv to Period;    Displays the Period that will be Advanced To




5. Scheduling an End of Period Operation

To Schedule the End of Period for a specific Module & Company you need to do the following;


    Active;        Click to Activate the operation


    First Run;        Select the Date to “Carry forward” the Period 

N/B – This will be scheduled in Timed Operations EOD which is run in the evening


Note: All Modules can be scheduled on the same day, however if you are scheduling them on different days you must ensure that they are closed in the correct order.





6. Recurrent Schedule


You can select for an End of Period operation to be automatically run on a specific day every month by doing the following;


    Recurrent;        Click the box to activate the automatic schedule

(tab to the next field)


    Day of Month;    Enter the “Day Number” to run the automatic schedule


    Open Periods;    Enter the “Number” of Periods to leave open


    Include EOY;    Click if you want to include the EOY Period





7. Confirming Schedule


Once you have completed your Scheduling select “Save” to confirm or “Exit”     to cancel the changes.
