First click the image of the person you wish to clock on to a job.
In this instance we will use DIONM.
He is presented with 3 available jobs he can clock onto:
Either use the red Up / Down arrow buttons to move the dark blue highlighting over the job, then click the Right arrow OR simply click on the desired job.
This will display the screen with all the available tasks for this WIP:
Use the Up / Down arrows to select an individual task – then the single green tick to select it.
Click the Clock In button (which will appear bottom right – see next screen shot), OR simply click on the individual line you wish to clock on to.
If you wish to clock on to all lines at once click the button with four green ticks on it.
If you wish to clock onto 2 of the 4 lines use the Up / Down arrows to select the lines then click the single green tick while each line is highlighted.
Lines 3 & 4 have been selected in the example below. The Clock In button becomes available on bottom right.
Now we have clocked onto lines 3 & 4.
We can see under DIONM’s name the WIP number is displayed.
To clock off again, click on his name.
You will notice it defaults to lines 3 & 4 at Complete status:
If you simply click the Clock Out button (bottom right) it will clock off those 2 lines only and set them to Complete.
If however you wish to do more work on line 3 you must use the red Down arrow button to access that line first before selecting the More Work button (top right).
As you use the down arrow the dark blue highlighting in the L# (line number) column will move to indicate which line is selected.
Below we have moved to line 3 and selected the More Work button.
If we now click the Clock Out button, lines 1 & 2 will be able to be clocked on to in the future, as well as line 3 which we have set to More work and line 4 will be set to Complete.
Note: If you simply click the More Work button, it will change the line highlighted (line 1 below) to More work. The system will think you had forgotten to clock onto this line. This will change the clockings to read that you had in fact clocked on to this line also, from the beginning and split the time taken between this line as well.
This can be seen on the clockings record:
