Case files display selected information about company, customer or vehicle records, when they are loaded or if the 'Case file' options is selected from the Tools menu when viewing a record. Case files will can display in Point of Sales, CRM, Sales Ledger, Daily Rentals, Vehicle Stockbooks (VSB) and CRM Showroom (SR). 


Case files can be set for each user in CRM User Access Control. Go to CRM>System Maintenance>User Access Control and select the Casefile Access tab. 


The choice of whether case files are displayed can be made for each individual department. 


For the Sales Ledger, Showroom, Daily Rentals and Vehicle Stockbooks sections this is controlled by a tick box labelled Show. A tick in the Show box will mean the pop up will display. 


In Point of Sale, a text field is used in which one of the following codes should be entered: P (Parts only), S (Service only), B (Both) or N (None). 

In CRM there are two tick boxes: Show (C/T/V), which enables the display of case files only when loading records, and Show general which enables the display in all other circumstances. 


In the below example you can see that the case file will display in Service Point of Sale, CRM Showroom and CRM. It will not display in Sales ledger, Daily Rentals or Vehicle Stockbooks.
