Setting up a new Printer queue / Spooler and email queue
Printer queue and a spooler
1. Windows printer needs to be setup first with PCL6 or PCL5 drivers in the Kprint / Print Manager Server - Done by customers IT
2. Check if Kprint Licenses are available.
- Change the license count to 1 less than there, 22 to 21 in this instance
- Then change it back to 22 from 21
At the bottom should show if licenses are available
If no free licenses available and it is a new Printer IP, then you should order additional licenses
3. Create a new Kprint Queue by copying an existing queue
Queue name can be anything, but suggest to follow the same naming convention
Follow the same setup parameters relevant to your site, comparing the other queues
4. Print a Test page and make sure the Test page is coming correctly
5. Then you need to setup a Spooler in Autoline
- Go into System Utilities > Spool utilities > Spool configuration > Select an existing Spooler and copy
- Update following with the correct details for the new printer, make sure to enter the newly create queue in kpr6

6. The go into System Utilities > Management Menu > Printer map > Select an existing Spooler and Copy
As example below, the code has to be the same one as in point 5, that is 226 in this instance, and as SPOOL226
7. Go to System utilities >Spool utilities > Spool queue control > Select the spool you just created
Click Stop spool, then click Start spool and make sure the status is Active
Once done, add the SPOOLxxx to the relevant Terminals
