EMD uploads Service Plan / Extended Warranty csv files in an FTP location. There is one file for each brand, VW, Audi and Skoda.
Autoline developed a functionality that can import the file directly from the specified FTP location. This can be added to the Timed Operations or run manually if required.
To run manually, go to MS/SK (for Skoda) or MS/VW (for VW and Audi). Select Vehicle Alignment Menu. Then select Vehicle Alignment Import. Select the company number
Click Import. You can also tick Initialise vehicle file if you want it cleared before running the import again.
The import will then read through all records and
1. Determine whether this is a service or warranty record. It will fill the appropriate import records.
Currently this is based on the second field on the import. If the value is ‘VW SP’ is the same against a given list of warranty codes, it will be treated as warranty, otherwise it is a service contract.
Note: Audi warranty codes should be entered on the VW list of warranty codes. There is not a separate franchise letter for them.
2. Find the vehicle record and return the registration. The registration is required for the import, so it is found at this point. If a vehicle with the given VIN is not found, the record is not imported.
A log shows the number of records created from the import file and the number of records not updated.
The vehicle file can be viewed at any time
Update CRM records
