If a customer informs you that a vehicle has been stolen, you can record this against the vehicle record.

Ensure you have selected Vehicle from the CRM shortcuts bar and click on the ellipsis button (…) to search for the vehicle.

You can enter the registration in the search bar, and it will return the vehicle in the search results panel.




Select the vehicle from the search results panel and click Load to continue. 

Click 'Continue' on the case file break screen should it appear. 

This will bring you to the Vehicle record screen. Click on the 'Current' tab to amend the status. 

Click on the Edit icon in the tool bar to enable edits. 




In the Progress pane, using the dropdown menu, change the second Status field from Live Record to Marked as stolen.





Click Save to complete the update. 

NOTE: If this vehicle comes into the service department, a warning message will appear when the vehicle is loaded. Likewise, if the vehicle is loaded as a trade in it will also show a warning message.
