Printers are assigned by terminal number (Not user) - this is matched to the PC/Laptop Name)  If a user works on more than one machine you may need to set this on multiple terminals and it will affect Anyone that uses that machine.


The default printer can be configured against your terminal record and steps below allow you to set it to the most suitable printer for you.

You can see your current default printer as shown below:

To change it you need to be on the first session of Autoline (the lowest possible Terminal Number) and note the terminal number. You will find it on top of Autoline screen next to your user name:




Then go to System Utilities > Management menu > Terminal Map

Ignore the terminal number that is shown on the prompt.

Enter the terminal number, click amend 

 Then click on the ellipses and choose the printer you want as your default




Click Save.

Finding a users Terminal Number

The easiest way is if the user logs in

Then System Utilities / Display Users

Terminal Column (NOT Partition)


Alternative method if they aren't logged in and you know the PC Name


System Utilities / Management Menu / Termfile Editor


Click on Machine Column to sort by that

Scroll till you find the Machine Name - and the terminal number will be in the 2nd column
