If you are unable to access a showroom deal due to a locked partition, it can be removed using the steps below.

If a quote is being amended in Showroom, the system will lock the quote to prevent it from being amended by anyone else. The lock is released once the quote is exited. Occasionally, if there is a system crash, the lock will not be released and the system will think that the quote is still in use.

In order to clear the partition lock you will need to make a note of the Partition number.

To locate the partition number:

  • Select Showroom from the Master Menu
  • Select Quotations from the Showroom menu
  • Select Recall Enquiry from Showroom Customer Enquiries screen
  • Find and select the relevant enquiry by searching for the customer name or reference number
  • Left-click on Next

The Recalling A Record screen will be displayed and this will give details of who is locking the quote.Make a note of the Partition number which is displayed on the right hand side of the screen.


Please note: Before removing a partition, ensure that the user is not currently accessing the quote.

  • Select Showroom from the Master Menu
  • Select System maintenance from the Showroom menu
  • Select Remove partition locks from the System Maintenance menu
  • Select Specific-partition
  • Left-click OK
  • Enter the Partition number and click OK
