Why am I unable to edit the registration number of a vehicle record in CRM?

If you are unable to edit the registration number of a vehicle in CRM, you should check that this vehicle does not exist in Vehicle stockbooks
- Load the vehicle record in CRM
- Select the Current tab
- Check the status of the vehicle
- If the status shows as S or O then the vehicle is VSB Controlled - this means that certain fields can only be amended via the record in Vehicle Stockbooks.
- Note the VSB Reference - this will include N or U (New of Used), the company identifier, for example 01, and a 6 digit stockbook reference
- The registration number can be edited in the stock record, if you do not have permission to do this then you should contact your Sales Administration.
- On a new vehicle stockbook record the Registration number field is located on the Sales Brief page, on a used stockbook vehicle it is on the Identity page.
