1.    The manufacturer may supply the MG Price file in various formats.

The best file/format to use for importing into Autoline is the file called DLRPRC with header.CSV.  Save the file in C:\rev8work as DLRPRC.CSV.

If the file "DLRPRC with header" is not available, use the file DLRPRC.CS1.  Save the file in C:\rev8work as DLRPRC.CSV and insert column header on the first line (refer to point #2).

2.    The manufacturer sometimes supplies the file in different layouts.  It is important to edit the file and ensure the file is in the correct layout and the important fields are in the correct column.

Part Number - Column A

Description - Column B

Supersession - Column D

Discount Code - Column E

Retail Price - Column H

Cost Price - Column J

Select the Franchise MG from the dropdown. Click on Import Data

Click on Update Price File, Then OK

It is possible that there can be import errors as per the example below.  In this case, make a note of the error and select skip. Errors should be reported back to the supplier for them to correct in their file.

In this error, an extra field has been inserted pushing everything out of alignment from ST onwards

When you are happy with the price file, update the stock file in MS/00 Parts Price File Menu

Select the Franchise that you are updating.  In this case, MG.  Click OK.
